At Embedded World 2025, the smallest Arm Cortex-MO+ based microcontroller with an area of 1.38 mm² was presented. The size of the new microcontroller from Texas Instruments is quite tiny and is unmatched by any other microcontroller in the world.

Some characteristics of the MSPM0C1104

The estimated price for a bulk purchase of the MSPM0C1104 can be as low as 20 cents per 1 pc. This project can be used in electronic applications and medical devices. The microcontroller consists of a CPU that operates at frequencies up to 24 MHz. In addition, the CPU has access to up to 16KB of flash memory and 1KB of SRAM.

The new microcontrollers can function from -40°C to 125°C. Moreover, they consume only 87 µA/MHz during operation and 5 µA in standby mode.

The LaunchPad developer kit will be available for only $5.99 for anyone interested in testing the new product.
