In a fairly short period of time, Intel has had significant problems with Panther Lake 18A orders and production.
Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said that the company has serious problems with the mass production of processors in the 2nd half of 2025. The same source reported that the usable chips on the 18A process cannot exceed 20-30 percent. Therefore, plans for mass production of processors are almost impossible in the near future.
Intel's plans to improve Panther Lake
At this stage, Panther Lake is being tested by partners, and feedback on this product is not very optimistic. It is known that Intel has certain plans to improve performance by almost 10 percent, but this will not have a significant impact. Therefore, production goals are likely to be revised.
Another problem for Intel is third-party orders. According to the same analyst, it became known that the company has certain problems with external orders mainly due to management processes in the supply chain and the organizational structure in general.
