VirtualBox 7.1 is now available

Oracle recently introduced a new version of its virtualization system. The previous version of VirtualBox became available 2 years ago.
Version 7.1 installation packages are already public for those who work with Windows, RHEL7/8/9, Ubuntu 20.04/22.04/24.04, macOS, and other operating systems.
The main improvements and updates in the latest version of VirtualBox are as follows:
- A new engine implements IPv6 support and address translation (NAT).
- Some changes have been made to the GUI, there is now an option to choose between advanced and regular users. In addition, a new version of the Qt library is open.
- Compatibility with Python 3.x has been slightly improved.
- Added installers on cloud-init and subiquity in auto-install mode, as well as the ability to set passwords for admin and user separately.
- Based on Wayland protocol, created a shared clipboard for Linux hosts and guest systems.
- Video encoding during screen recording has been improved.
- VBoxManage now includes a mount system that can be used to navigate to mount points on guest systems.
- Fixed major issues when operating pfSense 2.6.0 and FreeBSD 12.3.
- Microsoft DB/KEX certificates are enabled for new virtual machines.
- VRDE has implemented maintenance/application of self-signed certificates for TLS. In case the user has not added their own.
- Added VM reset/clone functions to components for OCI integration. Data about used resources on local VMs can now be accessed from the control panel.
