  • Nvidia’s potential in the PC market
  • Competition with AMD, Intel, and Qualcomm

Nvidia plans to make a breakthrough in the PC market by launching ARM processor production for Windows in September 2025. The company is developing its own ARM platform, which will run on its new central and graphics processors aimed at the premium market segment. Nvidia is also working on a separate project with MediaTek to provide users with a wider selection of ARM solutions. The official platform launch is planned for 2025, with commercial availability expected by March 2026.

Nvidia’s potential in the PC market

Analysts believe Nvidia can capture a significant share of the PC market due to its expertise in developing advanced AI servers and its dominance in discrete graphics processors for PCs. Additionally, Nvidia already has experience with its Grace and Tegra processors, which have become the foundation for developing new ARM solutions.

Competition with AMD, Intel, and Qualcomm

Entering the mass PC segment requires Nvidia to create a high-quality processor with powerful integrated graphics capable of competing with products from AMD, Intel, and Qualcomm. Therefore, considering Nvidia’s previous experience with Tegra chips, the new SoC may rival MediaTek’s Dimensity processors for Windows in certain markets.

In addition, Nvidia plans to introduce a high-performance processor optimized for gaming as well as a discrete GPU to compete with x86 platforms from AMD and Intel. The company is actively collaborating with game developers to ensure compatibility of ARM processors with modern games. Nvidia and MediaTek chips for PCs are expected to be produced using TSMC’s advanced 3nm process technology.
