New Intel GPU with a power consumption of 1.5 kW

Intel has already announced the production closure of the Ponte Vecchio GPU for data centers but also emphasized new solutions, which are represented by a line called Falcon Shores.
According to Intel, the Falcon Shores processor will have several general-purpose x86 and Xe cores for AI and high-performance computing tasks; this type of computing processor has now been given a new designation — XPU. Accelerators based on such GPUs will consume 1.5 kW of power.
For this purpose, Intel uses its modules, it is not yet clear what kind of cooling system, but the solution must be innovative. They could very well liquid immersion cooling, which they developed on their own, albeit in slower versions of the announced processor.
Intel claims that such a design can show five times the performance per watt of energy, and the same increase in memory capacity and bandwidth, and this is in comparison with products released in 2022.
We can expect the Falcon Shore processor in 2025, as well as applications and tools built specifically for it.
