15:28, 12.01.2024

On January 10, Greg Kroah-Hartman announced the discontinuation of the Linux 4.14 LTS kernel, suggesting all users switch to newer versions. The version was first released in late 2017, with the final patch 4.14.336 being released on January 10, 2024.

Starting from November 2023, Linux 6.6 is officially an LTS kernel, which initially is to be supported until 2026, with the possibility of prolonging the long-term support until December 2029. Regular kernel releases receive updates only until the next regular release.
