Intel's revenue has significantly decreased due to AMD

Earlier this year, AMD significantly increased its revenue thanks to processors, and more specifically because of EPYC processors and Ryzen 8000 laptop chips. As for Intel, it strengthened the mobile processor market mainly due to the release of Core Ultra.
According to the existing data, AMD's income from processors has increased significantly, and sales volumes are also increasing. The most significant growth occurs directly in the processor segment. The company's revenues increased by 33 percent, while the volume increased by 23 percent, such changes became possible due to the deliveries to data centers.
The main reasons for the success:
- Top manufacturers, especially Lenovo and Dell were interested in the Ryzen 8000, mainly because of performance and pricing.
- The demand for EPYC processors has increased significantly.
According to the data for the first quarter of 2024, AMD has 16.3 percent of the client processor market, with revenue of approximately 20 percent, 3.8 percent higher than in 2023.
The company's revenue has been significantly impacted by the rising price of processors, rather than an increase in budget segment sales. Most likely, users switched to flagship models, and this played a role. Besides, the Threadripper line influenced the market a lot.
Threadripper is a rather unique product, and if we compare it with Intel's Xeon w9-3595X, the last one is certainly a server processor. These two products appeared on the market about the same time, but the processor from Intel is far behind.
At this stage, the Threadripper is a cool product that can only be compared to the weaker Xeon alternative. Because of the motherboard on the STR socket, it's possible to mount a workstation, but also so you can use the machine for everyday tasks.
AMD's revenue last year was 15.4 and the volume was 19.2%, now the revenue has increased and is 19.2% and the volume is 23.9%. In the mobile processor market, the numbers are just as up thanks mainly to the Ryzen 8000. But the release of Core Ultra from Intel will not go unnoticed, and will also influence the market trends.
It is predicted that AMD's growth will continue until the end of this year, mainly due to the launch of new models.
