FreeBSD 14.0 Release

On November 20 FreeBSD 14.0 release took place. The release supports up to 1024 CPU cores for amd64 and arm64, OpenZFS 2.2, and Fwget utility. This is the next following after FreeBSD 13.0 release which took place in April 2021.
The release can be already downloaded for all major architectures.
This will be the last release with 32-bit platforms.
Among other things, the new release should load faster, ISA soundcards support has been disconnected, a new Intel QAT with lots of new features has been added.
Other key changes in FreeBSD 14.0 include /bin/sh as the default root prompt, nda as the default NVME driver, a new base64 utility, DMA replacing sendmail, hardware acceleration for TLS 1.3, new jail.conf directives, user creation changes, TPM access in Bhyve, updated ZFS support, extended NFS support, and a new DTrace provider, among other enhancements.
