Blackwell Ultra B300 AI chip announced by NVIDIA

At GTC 2025, NVIDIA announced a new GPU that will be focused on the needs of AI and data centers. Compared to the previous version, the Blackwell Ultra B300 will have almost 50% more memory and FP4 computing performance. When creating the new product, the company mainly focused on more complex AI models.

New solutions from Nvidia

In addition to the B300 base unit, the company also announced the GB300 DGX station, new B300 NVL16 server racks, and GB300 NV72L racks. With the help of 8 NV72L racks, it is possible to form a Blackwell Ultra DGX SuperPOD, the company calls such solutions “AI factories”.

The new Dynamo library and FP4 instructions on the B300 can be used to optimize the performance of AI models. The company also emphasizes that the NV72L rack guarantees better performance.

If we compare the characteristics of Hooper and Blackwell Ultra, the first option offers up to 100 tokens/s. and Ultra gives out up to 1000 tokens/s. From this example, it is clear that the throughput increases by 10 times.

By the end of this year, B300 devices may begin supplying. The company is expected to significantly increase revenues from the new generation, as its revenue amounted to $11 billion last year.
