A user posted a screenshot of AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D, which is supposed to have 128 MB of L3 cache, having 192 MB of L3 cache.
There are several reasons why it might be possible. Perhaps this was just a Windows System error, but it’s not excluded that the user had an actual prototype of AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D with 192 MA L3 cache. Anyway, the user didn’t post any additional metrics that could verify that the CPU really had this amount of memory.
According to Tom’s Hardware website, this AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D is technologically possible and could really exist. Namely, before the release of the processor, Gamers Nexus visited the company's campus in Osteen, Texas. They had an opportunity to see some test AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D models, including the unreleased Ryzen 9 5950X3D with 192 MB of L3 cache.
There might be numerous reasons, why AMD decided not to manufacture this model. In particular, some tests showed that additional L3 cache memory didn’t positively contribute to the CPU’s performance.
