AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D chips are no longer working properly on motherboards from a well-known manufacturer.

Processors are failing in large numbers

The moderator of the ASRock subreddit has recorded cases where processors stopped functioning. This collection contains reports on 40 cases of processor failure, most of which occurred on ASRock boards. There are cases where the processors stop working during the first boot. ASRock and AMD are aware of this problem but have not yet commented on it.

There are also certain cases that do not apply to Ryzen 7 9800X3D. For example, there were cases when two 9800X3D stopped functioning properly, and there were no problems with using 7 9800X3D.

To resolve this issue, the community has developed recommendations to roll back the BIOS to a previous version. There are already confirmed cases where reverting to an older version helped to resolve the situation.

It is also important to mention similar cases with Asus, MSI, and Gigabyte boards. The Ryzen 7000 generation also had similar problems. Therefore, over time, we will have more objective information about the problem and how to solve it.
