AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT Performance Leaked: A Game Changer?
14:38, 24.02.2025
Leaked benchmark slides have revealed significant performance gains for AMD’s upcoming Radeon RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 compared to the previous generation. While AMD’s official announcement is set for February 28, these early numbers suggest that the RX 9070 XT is up to 42% faster than the RX 7900 GRE at 4K resolution and 38% at 1440p. The RX 9070 also sees a 20-21% improvement over the RX 7900 GRE.
The RX 9070 XT retains the same memory capacity as its predecessor but benefits from architectural enhancements that deliver a substantial uplift in performance. With these improvements, AMD is positioning the RX 9070 series as a strong contender in the mid-to-high-end GPU market.
Pricing and Market Competition
While raw performance is impressive, pricing will be a crucial factor in determining the success of the RX 9070 XT. Its direct competitor, the NVIDIA RTX 5070 Ti, is officially priced at $749 but is currently difficult to find at that price due to supply constraints. If AMD strategically prices the RX 9070 XT below $700, it could gain a strong foothold in the market.
The RX 9070 series is set to launch on March 6, and independent reviews will ultimately determine whether these GPUs can live up to the hype. With the ongoing GPU market fluctuations, AMD has a significant opportunity to capitalize on NVIDIA’s supply issues and offer a compelling alternative to gamers and creators alike.
