AMD processors are considered to be among the most powerful on the market for gamers, but so far none of the chips have had 3D V-Cache. Insider information has revealed that this will be changed for APU and Threadripper processors.
Recently, information has emerged about certain settings that were specified in the ASUS WRX90 board manual. Such motherboards will have 3D V-Cache settings but do not support EPYC and Ryzen processors. Therefore, there is a high probability that these settings will be available for Threadripper.
In addition, there is a high probability that 3D V-Cache will also be available for processors with a powerful built-in graphics card. Although, according to preliminary information, this feature will initially be available only for high-end laptops.
X3D processors that are already equipped with this technology have good performance primarily in the gaming segment. It is likely that the new generation of processors will be more efficient in computing and server workloads. Users of premium laptops will also be able to appreciate the new technology. Ryzen 7 9800X3D is currently planned for desktops and will be available soon.
