  • What Do the New Ryzen Processors Offer?
  • Why Didn’t AMD Make a Big Announcement?

AMD has quietly expanded the Ryzen 5000G series with six new processors, making them a great option for owners of older AM4 socket motherboards. The new chips were first spotted by Reddit users even before the company's official announcement.

The updated lineup includes the Ryzen 7 5705G and 5705GE, Ryzen 5 5605G and 5605GE, as well as the Ryzen 3 5305G and 5305GE. These processors retain the familiar Cezanne architecture, support PCIe 3.0 and DDR4 memory, and come with integrated Radeon Vega graphics.

What Do the New Ryzen Processors Offer?

The new chips come in different performance tiers:

  • Ryzen 7 5705G/GE – 8 cores, 16 threads, up to 4.6 GHz.
  • Ryzen 5 5605G/GE – 6 cores, 12 threads, up to 4.4 GHz.
  • Ryzen 3 5305G/GE – 4 cores, 8 threads, up to 4.2 GHz.

The GE versions are optimized for lower power consumption (TDP 35W), while the G versions have a standard TDP of 65W.

Why Didn’t AMD Make a Big Announcement?

Most likely, because these processors are designed for the older AM4 socket, while AMD's latest products are already shifting to the AM5 platform. However, this is great news for users who want to upgrade their systems without buying a new motherboard.

An official announcement, along with pricing details, is expected soon.
