What Happened

Not so long ago, AMD announced new GPUs and RDNA 4 architecture, and it also made statements about the upcoming RX 9070 products. Despite this, on January 6, at AMD's presentation at CES 2025, there were no mentions of the newly announced products.

Later, during the press conference at the exhibition, the company confirmed that the lack of information about new products was not accidental.

Why Was There No Presentation?

AMD stated that the reason for not presenting the Radeon RX 9070 series GPUs and RDNA 4 architecture was a trivial lack of time for a proper announcement, as the presentation was limited to 45 minutes.

Moreover, the presentation did not include other improvements from AMD, including Ryzen Z2 console chips.

In short, it would have taken more time to fully present and reveal the changes the GPU series and the new architecture represent.

When Will RX 9070 GPUs Be Released?

Despite the lack of a full presentation, RX 9070s will be released this year.

AMD has promised to hold at least one full-fledged presentation of the new products, where they can delve into the details and intricacies of RDNA 4 and RX 9000.

So far, there is no exact date for the presentation, but it is known that the line will be launched in the first quarter of 2025.
